DRINK UP

I am a water enthusiast in that I firmly believe that everyone should drink plenty of water. We could not inhabit the earth if it were not for water. This odorless, colorless tasteless liquid is by far the most important element of all. I rank it more important than air even though you need both to live.

Our bodies our composed of 70 percent water. Our liver is 90 percent water, our blood is 83 percent water and our brain is 85 percent water. Our bodies can not function properly with out the proper amount of hydration.

Most people are dehydrated. I believe as many as 75 percent of Americans are dehydrated. What are the signs of dehydration? They are constipation, headaches, pain in the joints and muscles and the most prevalent sign is thirst.

Drinking eight glasses of water per day would be sufficient for most people. However some experts recommend that twelve glasses per day. If you find it difficult to drink water just think of all the benefits that it provides. If you want to live a long and healthy life then drink-up!

In the words of my dad, You must honor the chair whether it is sitting, walking or lying down.”
