DRINK PLENTY OF WATER

Did you know that your blood is 83% water; your muscles are 75% water; your brain is 74% water and your bones are 22% water? We are essentially a bag of water. If we become dehydrated our bodies will not function properly.

Water facilitates the entire chemical processes that take place in our bodies. We need a sufficient amount of water to eliminate waste from our bodies. We all know what happens when we are not able to eliminate waste products from the body. I remember an old joke about the human body. The head was bragging that it was the most important part of the body. Oh no said the eyes, we are the most important part of the body. Each part of the body claimed to be the most important. Finally the rectum said, “I am the most important part of the body.” “I’ll prove it to you.” The rectum decided to take a week vacation. By the end of the week every part of the body that claimed to be the most important part had almost died.

Drinking a sufficient amount of water can reduce high blood pressure. Water is necessary for your body to digest and absorb nutrients and vitamins. If you are feeling tired it is probably because you are dehydrated. Your blood becomes thicker and therefore your body has to overcompensate to circulate it through the veins. The brain then becomes overburdened and less alert. You will find it very difficult to concentrate, your body will become exhausted, and you become wiped out.

How much water should you drink? You should drink 8 glasses of water (64 ounces a day or ½ your body weight in ounces of water. You will improve your energy level, increase your physical and mental performance, keep your skin looking good and most of all lose plenty of unwanted sloppy fat.

Water my friends is the miracle drug! Drink it for a youthful appearance and drink it for your good health!

In the words of my dad, Dr. Melvin J. Griffin Sr.: “Don’t get a College degree and have scared behind it!”
