KEEP HOPE ALIVE

Moses was born a Hebrew slave in the land of Egypt. Pharaoh feared the Hebrew slaves because he believed that they would one day take over his empire. This fear of the Hebrew slaves led Pharaoh to order that all Hebrew baby boys two years and up be killed so that they would not grow up and fight against him. To spare Moses life his mother, a praying woman, a woman full of hope came up with a remarkable plan. She hid Moses in a basket by the side of the Nile River.

Moses’ sister, Miriam looked after him until Pharaoh’s daughter came to the river to wash. She discovered Moses in the basket and fell in love with him. Miriam told her that she knew of a woman who could nurse the baby. The woman was Moses own mother. Pharaoh’s daughter took Moses back to live with her as though he was her own son. Consequently, Moses was saved.

Moses’ mother was full of hope. When faced with the devastating chance of losing her son she did not roll over with fear. Hope was the anchor of her soul. We all can learn a great deal from the Mother of Moses.

You may be facing trials and tribulations. The present and future may seem dim. The truth is God can change your situation in a split second. This could be the day that everything changes for the better. Stay full of hope. Expect God’s favor. Don’t ever lose your hope.

Whatever your situation may be, keep hope alive. As I reflect on my life I can see so many situations where my lifestyle of believing in God has turned things around. I have seen enemies turned to footstools. I have experienced situations created by other people who meant them for evil, but God meant them for good. I attribute the positive outcome with my ability to hang on to hope.

There may be someone that you love dearly that seems too far-gone for help. You need only to remember that no person is too far-gone for God to change. God hung the stars and the moon. God created the universe. You are where you are by divine assignment. Don’t give up! Keep hope Alive!
