Griffin Speaks "AS A MAN THINKETH"
It was thought control that assisted me in accomplishing the following: student body president of Morehouse College, member of the Morehouse College Board of Trustees (student representative), Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Masters of Law from Boston University School of Law Tax Program, member of the Boston University Tax Program's Law Review, member of three State Bars, assist movie legend Spike Lee with the start of his movie career, travel Europe at age nineteen, become one of two blacks passing the Alabama State Bar Exam in 1985, become the first Black Chief Counsel for a State Agency in Alabama, become the second black in Alabama to achieve the highest merit system ranking of Attorney Four, marry the most wonderful woman in the world, introduce seven couples that later married,(all of which are still married). The book was called "AS A MAN THINKETH, by James Allen, and here is what it said: "A man will find that as he alters his thoughts toward things and other people, things and other people will alter their thoughts toward him... Let a man radically alter his thoughts, and he will be astonished at the rapid transformation it will effect in the material conditions of his life. Men do not attract that which they want, but that which they are... The divinity that shapes our ends is in our very self... all that a man achieves is the direct result of his thoughts! A man can only rise, conquer and achieve by lifting up his thoughts. He can only remain weak and abject and miserable by refusing to lift up his thoughts." Everything begins with a thought. If you only think positive thoughts the results will be positive. Avoid negative thinking people. Avoid thinking thoughts that you would be ashamed for your parents to know that you are thinking. A daily reading of the Holy Bible is the best way to dwell on positive thoughts. Thoughts lead to action. BECOME A POSITIVE THINKER AND CONTROL YOUR THOUGHTS!!! In the next issue of the Montgomery-Tuskegee Times I will discuss how a woman can marry the ideal man. Greg Griffin can be contacted at www.greggriffin.com |
