Griffin Speaks WICKED PEOPLE
One of the most important things a parent can teach their children is how to protect themselves from wicked people. I am convinced that Satan has children walking around on earth. I have personally known a few. I am a big Nancy Grace fan. I watch her show every night. What Nancy has clearly shown us night after night is that this world is full of wicked people. So what exactly happens to the wicked when they die. For hundreds of years, many theologians have preached fire and brimstone sermons. The lesson they teach is that the wicked will torment forever in hell. This fate leads one to believe that there will be an ever-burning hellfire where the wicked will roast on splits, and a red devil with horns and a tail runs around sticking the roasting wicked with a pitchfork. This doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, but I certainly pray and hope that something happens to the wicked so that they will one-day pay for the chaos they cause in the lives of the righteous. Everyday that I wake up I am aware that there are two fundamental attitudes that I can adopt. I can choose good or I can choose evil. God says that the wages of sin is death. So I have no problem choosing good. Exactly what is the state of the dead? In death all mental and physical processes cease when an individual dies. Both the righteous and the wicked go to the same place when they die. All physical creatures are composed of dust and return to dust again. Ecclesiastes 9:2-3; and 3:19-20 make it abundantly clear that no one enters heaven or hell at death, and no one has the capacity to experience joy or pain while dead. Jesus tells us in John 5: 28-29 that there will be a day of resurrection when all men will be judged. At the resurrection, both the righteous and the wicked will be brought back to life to receive their reward or punishment. When I visit my parent’s home they seem to always be viewing some type of religious show. I asked my father why they watched religious programs so frequently? My father’s response was, “ You wait until you get to be 75 years old, you will watch them too!” Life expectancy changes, as one grows older. By the time a person reaches their first year, their chances of living longer increase. By the time of late adulthood, ones chances of survival to a very old age are very good. For example, although the life expectancy from birth for all people in the United States is 77.7 years, those who live to age 65 will have an average of almost 18 additional years left to live, making their life expectancy almost 83 years. There is a very good chance that a wicked person can live to a ripe old age, but trust me they will meet their maker and get their due. So don’t hold grudges, just kick them to the curb and keep on trucking! In the words of my dad, “If you don’t have money at least have class!” Greg
