FIFTIETH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION


A 50th Birthday celebration was held Saturday, January 26th, 2008 at Welcome Ministries located at 920 South Court Street Montgomery, Alabama in honor of Elect Lady Deborah Nickson. Lonnie Nickson is the honorable Pastor. Nicole Nickson joined her parents at the elaborate celebration. 

Pastor Walter E. Ellis, Pastor of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church was the speaker of the hour. His wife Lady Sadie Ellis honored Elect Lady Nickson with a toast and Rev. James Moore and Deacon Ruben Garrison delivered the roast for the occasion. 

Lady Elect Nickson’s lovely attire was provided by Julie Dixon owner of Jasmine’s Boutique located at 4454 Troy Hwy and Minister Earnestine Womack was her make-up artist. Photos were taken by William Mosley of Diamonds and Pearls Photography. 

A delicious dinner was prepared by Cookma’s Restaurant located at 2601 East South Blvd. Mother Ora Lawson assisted by kitchen staff of Welcome Ministries also prepared some entrees. Jennifer Coleman and Yolanda Murphy provided the beautiful decorations. Herbert Young, owner operator of Young’s Limousine services located at 900 Adams Avenue provided transportation. 

Dionne Whetstone of WXVI embraced us ash Mistress of Ceremony and Mrs. Shearese Gipson provided the invitations and programs for this extravagant event. This was truly a Gala Affair!

In the words of my dad: “Stay away from the pig ears and fried pork chops.  Eat more fruits and vegetables.”
