Griffin Speaks GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS
“God moves in a mysterious way, His wonders to perform” These are the words written by the great hymn writer William Cowper (1731-1800). William Cowper suffered from severe depression. He spent several periods of time in mental institutions and he wrote this hymn during a period when he was better. You may be going through a terrible time right now. You may be facing a terrible life threatening situation. It may look very dark right now, but hold on. Trust in the Lord and he will bring you through it. As I look back over my life, every sad moment turned out to be a time when God was working things out for the best. It may not look like it right now, but later on you will see that God worked it out for you. Just trust him. Just trust him and you will find theses words to be true. Here’s the gist of it—Horrible imaginings are always worst than the actual thing. Nothing lasts forever not even bad times. One day your troubles will be over. The terminally ill, the incarcerated, the homeless, the broke, the heartbroken will all be free. Soon we will all be done with the troubles of the world. Soon something will happen that will bring all of us to
our knees. Our faith may be shaken, we may grieve uncontrollably, but God
will bring us through it. We as a nation must be prepared for what is about
to come. Put your seat belts on and just remember that you heard it here:
“God works in mysterious ways, his wonders to perform.”
