Griffin Speaks GUARDIAN ANGELS
If
you need further convincing that these Celestial Servants exist I suggest
that you turn to Acts 12:6-10, Psalms 103:20-21; Kings ^: 13-17; Isaiah
37:33-36 and Mathew 18:10. If you will believe in your guardian angel he
will soon touch you! Be
careful that you not worship angels for that would be idolatry. Always
remember that angels are controlled by God and are only to assist us. Saint
Jerome in his commentary on Matthew said, “How great the dignity of the
soul, since each one has from his birth an angel commissioned to guard
it.” We
all walk through the valley of the shadow of death and yet we truly deep
down fear no evil, because in our soul we know that we have a guardian
angel. Perhaps this is why young people have such a sense of immortality.
They tend to be more in touch with their guardian angel. However adults as
they become elderly regain their close contact with their guardian angel.
Have you noticed how elderly people love to watch religious shows on
television? I believe the guardian angel really enjoys watching them as
well. So
if by now you think that I have lost my mind try this experiment: Try to
think about two different things at the same time. It is impossible to do
because your guardian angel keeps you focused on one thing at a time for
your own protection. If you still think I have lost my mind a Time magazine
poll revealed that 69 percent of people in the United States believe in
angels, and 46 percent of those believe they have a personal guardian angel.
If you want a bridge over troubled waters learn how to connect with your
guardian angel. There are people who seem to have the world by the tail.
They are the ones who have fully connected to their guardian angel. In the words of my dad, “You must honor the chair whether it is sitting, walking or lying down.” Greg Griffin is a free lance writer.
