Griffin Speaks

RIGHT BEFORE YOUR EYES

You have tried almost everything possible to find the love of your life. You have tried cruising the grocery store aisles, you’ve read hundreds of relationship books, you’ve gone on blind dates, you’ve visited church after church, you’ve tried cooking classes, dance classes, single classes’ etc. etc. You have done everything but stand on a rooftop and shout in your loudest voice “I’m looking for love!”

You know what? You haven’t found love or that special someone because you are looking so hard that you can’t see that he or she may very well be “right in front of your eyes!” As difficult as it may be for you to believe, that someone special may already be in your life. He or she may be that co-worker, who is always lending you a listening ear, the single professor who happens to be twice your age, the single doctor you visit regularly, and the list of possibilities go on and on. You simply have to open your mind.

My tips for the lonely at heart:

1.)    If you see someone you are interested in let them know that you are interested. Don’t be afraid of being rejected. Everyone likes someone who admires them even if they won’t admit it.

2.)    Don’t drink too much while out on a date. Ladies don’t eat like a pig; leave something other than the napkin on the plate.

3.)    Ladies keep your privates on lock down, in other words don’t have sex too early. What is too early? First date!

4.)    Even though you may initiate the relationship at some point pull back and act as though you are losing interest to see if he or she cares.

5.)    Find out what the love interest favorite food is and then prepare it well.

6.)    Don’t smother the person you are interested in. Give them some space. Give them an opportunity to wonder what you are doing or what you are thinking about.

7.)    Ladies if you really want to be sexually appealing to a man then don’t talk too much. Just look at him and smile! I guarantee you that  will work every time.

8.)    Ladies every morning look in the mirror and say: “I will not eat too much and I will not talk too much! You will be fighting men off all day long.

9.)    Men every morning look in the mirror and say: “I won’t let my love interest spend a dime. I will provide for her every need and want!” “I will tell her this frequently.” You will be fighting women off all day long.

10.)Last but not least, look at the person closest to you and ask yourself if you have overlooked the possibility that your love interest may be right before your eyes.

In the words of my dad: “Stay away from the pig ears and fried pork chops.  Eat more fruits and vegetables.”
