Griffin Speaks ROSCOE DASH AND ROCKO
On
Friday, Debra and I took Alexis to the airport to catch a flight to visit
Mt. Holyoke and Smith College two of the Seven Sister schools. She will
visit Bryn Mawr another Seven Sister school next weekend. When we arrived at
the Montgomery airport around 4:30am, there were several young African
American men also in line to catch a flight. I was floored by their
appearance. I thought the sagging pants were completely disrespectful. Of
course, as usual I pointed out to Alexis that she should never bring a young
man home who dressed like that if she did not want to kill me. As usual, she
gave me a devilish grin. I also pointed out to her that observing those
young men made me appreciate the clean cut young boys that she has as
friends. In the words of my dad, “You must honor the chair whether it is sitting, walking or lying down.” Greg Griffin is a free lance writer. You can read his previous articles by visiting his web page at www.greggriffin.com or write to him at P.O. Box 250194 Montgomery, Alabama 36125-0194. |
