THE INCREDIBLE SUN

I must admit that I was impressed when man landed on the moon, but nothing could impress me more than man landing on the sun. Is that possible? The surface of the sun is approximately 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit. The core of the sun is about 27 million degrees Fahrenheit. You tell me if it’s possible.

Our sun is just one of billions of stars and is the closest star to Earth. Every 20 days the sun rotates around the Earth. The sun was formed four and a half billion years ago. It is predicted that it will shine for at least another five billion years. Over one billion Earths could fit on the inside of the Sun.

The Sun is 870,000 miles wide which is 109 times wider than Earth. It is 333,000 times heavier than Earth. Without the sun, we could not inhabit Earth. The largest object in our universe is the Sun.

What is the Sun made of? The Sun is made of 92% hydrogen and 7% helium and other lower number gases. The life span of a star is over 3 billion years. The Sun rotates every 25-36 days. The Sun gives light to the Moon. A star ranges in size from 7000 miles to 900 billion miles.

It was believed by ancient people that the secret to immortality lays in the very core of the Sun. All man has to do is find a way to enter into the core of the Sun and grab it. Are you up for the challenge?

In the words of my dad, You must honor the chair whether it is sitting, walking or lying down.”
