The Plum Book is a publication of the United States Senate’s Committee on
Governmental Affairs and the House of Representatives’ Committee on
Government Reform. It is published alternately after each Presidential
election. It lists over 7000 Federal jobs that may be subject to
noncompetitive appointment, nationwide.
